How to check an aluminium handle before you buy: 8 checks
Before you order aluminium handles, check eight things: the real length against the size on the box, where the handle is made, the metal, the finishes and sizes, the profile section, fitting instructions, and what happens when a piece is faulty. Below, each check comes with our own answer.

Why does the size on the box differ from the handle's length?
On our handles up to 288 mm, the size on the box is the distance between the centres of the two screw holes, not the full length. A 96 mm handle is 136 mm long and a 288 mm handle is 325 mm. From 450 mm up, the size is the full length. Our wardrobe handle size guide gives the real length of every model and size.
How do I know a handle was made, not just packed, by the seller?
Ask which steps happen in their own factory, and ask whether you can visit. In ours, every handle starts as aluminium from Ratnashree, and machining on VMC machines, polishing, plating, checking and packing all happen in-house.
